The Leopard Players competed in the District One Act Play Competition on Saturday, April 2nd at Industrial High School. There were five schools competing for two advancing spots. Van Vleck and Industrial earned those slots and moved on to the Area Contest at BF Terry High School. Six plays competed for the two advancing spots there and Van Vleck came up just short. Ranked third at the area competition, we are the alternates to Region.

The Leopard Players put on a strong performance and represented us very well yesterday at the Region IV Area 1 One-Act Play Contest. Unfortunately, Hempstead and Industrial were chosen as the two advancing schools, and we were selected as the alternate. Ashley Salazar was named to the All-Star Tech Crew, and our own tech crew, consisting of Ashley Salazar, Faith Grisham, Chasidi Jackson, Jocelyn Pena, and Kendall Meyer, received the plaque for Best Technical Company. On the acting side, Brandon Garay and Percy Owen were named to the Honorable Mention All-Star Cast and Sean Keller and Bronson McKinney were named to the All-Star Cast.
