We have several new databases which you will find listed under the Students tab. These resources are offered through the Region III Center and funded through the Van Vleck libraries.
The ESBCO Database is formatted a little differently than the typical search engine. ESBCO is funded by the state and comes to us through Region 20. This site has more than just student info; it has teacher resources, magazines, encyclopedias, newspapers, and health information. It is designed for the Pre-K elementary student all the way to the college student. There is something for everyone
Britannica is an online encyclopedia and is part of the EBSCO Database.

netTrekker is a search engine that only contains educator approved websites. Your students can search and find reliable information with no inappropriate web content.

The Gale Group has multiple features. This database covers areas in history, science, social studies, literature, and more. It also includes the Texas Almanac, newspapers, and a professional collection.
Magill's Medical Guide has accurate health information, no blocked sites, and is very comprehensive. This is a 5-volume reference set.
NetSmartz is an interactive, educational safety resourse from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) and Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) for children aged 5 to 17, parents, guardians, educators, and law enforcement. The goal of the NetSmart Workshop is to extend the safety awareness of children to prevent victimization and increase self-confidence whenever they go online.
