I wanted you all to know our young Tennis players competed very hard at regional's yesterday and here are the results.

Boys Singles:

Greg Spenneberg -   Lost in the first round to Randolph H.S. (2-6, 4-6)
Greg played very hard and we were extremely proud of his effort the entire season.

Boys Doubles:

Spur Eury/ David Galvan - Lost in the first round to Refugio H.S. (4-6, 1-6)
This team battled a very tough Refugio team and did a great job all season.

Congratulations Boys and I know we all look forward to next year!!

VV tennis sends 3 to regional

    District 26 2A held their tennis meet April 4-5 at Bay City High School.

    The Van Vleck tennis team had an impressive showing with Kendall Meyer finishing just short of advancing in a play back match for third place in women’s singles.

    Greg Spennberg played Edna in a play back match for second place, winning in three sets 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 to advance to the regional meet in San Marcos.

    Van Vleck’s men’s doubles team of David Galvan and Spur Eury finished second after having to withdraw from the finals due to an illness. Galvan was sick throughout the tournament.
